About the cocktail invitation
Many weddings now include a cocktail evening, often hosted by friends or cousins, or folded into the sangeet. Its invitation can be more modern than the wedding card: dark grounds, gold and a clear dress code.
There isn’t a dedicated cocktail design in the app yet. Velvet Palace and Peacock Royale both suit an evening party — change the heading to “Cocktails” and add your dress code.
What to include on the card
- “Cocktail Night” or “Cocktails & Dinner” as the heading
- The hosts or the couple’s names
- Date and time
- Venue
- Dress code — black tie, Indo-western or glam

Questions
Cocktail invitation FAQs
What dress code should a cocktail invite mention?
Say it plainly — black tie, Indo-western or cocktail glam — so guests don’t have to guess.
Is the cocktail party the same as the sangeet?
Not always. Some families combine them into one evening; others keep the cocktail party as a separate night hosted by friends.
